The Khe Sanh Veterans, Inc. Scholarship Foundation is pleased to announce the 2015-2016 Award winners for academic achievement.

The following young scholars are children and grandchildren of Khe Sanh Veterans and have maintained excellent levels of educational success.

Madison is a 2nd year applicant and granddaughter of Richard Donaghy, HQ 26th Marines. She is a sophomore at Villanova University and is working for her degree in nursing.

High Academic Achievement

 Shannon Friel
(3rd Award)

Shannon is in her 4th and final year as a scholarship applicant. She is the daughter of Thomas Friel, G 2/26. Shannon has had outstanding success in her pursuit of a music B.A. at the College of St. Rose and is a past recipient of the Colonel David E. Lownds Award. Well done!

Bailey is a 2nd year applicant and granddaughter of Thomas Peters, H&S 81s 3/26.Bailey attends Michigan State University and has been studying in the MSU School of Journalism as a sophomore.

Hunter is a 2nd year applicant and son of John C. Lane, H&S 1/26. Hunter is a sophomore at Stetson University, Florida studying in the fields of international business and German.

Mckenzie is a 1st year applicant and granddaughter of Richard Donaghy, HQ 26th Marines. Mackenzie is a freshman at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and plans to study global securities and intelligence.

Catherine is a 1st year applicant and granddaughter of Paul Lojkovic, A 1/26. Catherine is a freshman at Southern Illinois University majoring in pharmacy.

Ananarose is a 4th year applicant and granddaughter of Edward Zimmerman, F 2/26. Annarose has been enrolled at Misericodia, University and is preparing to get her degree in speech-language pathology. Well Done!

Jeffery is a 1st year applicant and grandson of Dermott Barry, G 2/26. Jeffery will be a freshman at Southern Oregon University and plans to study in pre-biology fields.

Wesley is a 1st year applicant and grandson of James Sluss, HQ 26th Marines. Wesley will be attending Wichita State University as a freshman and begin his studies in business or musical theater.

Allyson is a 1st year applicant and granddaughter of Marshall Parker, 3rd AT BN. Allyson will be a freshman at Marshall University and studying athletic training with a specialty in physical therapy.

Kiersten is a 1st year applicant and granddaughter of Mike Powers, D 1/26. Kiersten will be freshman at the University of North Texas and plans to study communications design.

Dillon is a 4th year applicant and grandson of Richard Donahgy, HQ 26th Marines. Dillon is a senior at UCLA and will complete his degree in geology, engineering and geospatial info systems. Well Done!
