Beautiful Breckenridge Tour
The glitter of the Gold Rush that brought
thousands of fortune seekers to Colorado Soil more than
100 years ago still glimmers in one of the Rockies wealthiest
areas - Breckenridge. This popular resort area is rich in
scenic beauty and historical significance. Your scenic drive
up to Breckenridge will be a sight to remember as well as the
interesting historical commentary from your tour guide.
The Victorian, tree-lined streets of this
National Historic District are accented with period gas lamps
and colorful, 130-year-old buildings that house more than 200
unique restaurants, bars, shops and boutiques. There are
several western art galleries along Main Street. In contrast,
flashy, imaginative condos attest to Breckenridge's commitment
to the future. Enjoy the many stories your tour guide will
share with you during your walking tour of Breckenridge.
Almost
a ghost town in the mid-1950, Breckenridge is now one of the
most popular ski resorts in the nation. Although the ski
industry was it's economic salvation, the well-preserved
storefront facades reveal Breckenridge's second most popular
activity shopping! Here, you will find everything from novelty
items and souvenirs to exclusive designer sweaters and
luxurious furs. Instead of shopping, on your own you can enjoy
the fabulous treat of riding the ski lift to the top of the
mountain and take in the breathtaking views of the Rocky
Mountains and Breckenridge. This is a wonderful way to see the
majestic mountains, a winter wonderland, and also enjoy a
leisurely day of shopping.
